Daniel, D.W. (Central) 0 1 0 0.000 1 5 0 0.167 83 169 0 3

WHAT HAPPENED
Greenville destroyed Pickens 42-14, continuing their high scoring ways; D.W. Daniel lost big to Wren, 35-14; BHP was idle

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAMES:
Wren at Greenville is the biggest game in the region and I believe the winner of this game finishes second in the region behind BHP.

MY TAKE:
Belton Honea Path is the team to beat, with Greenville my next favorite with their explosive offense. Wren will battle for hthat second spot, Daniel gets fourth over Pickens. I'm not sure that Daniel can win a playoff game.

Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest) 0 1 0 0.000 1 5 0 0.167 79 197 0 3

WHAT HAPPENED
Eastside dismantled Union Couny to remain unbeaten; Greer pummelled Travelers Rest 70-3. Blue Ridge was idle.

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAMES:
Eastside at Greer; this will be the biggest test that the Eagles have faced this season and I believe it's going to be a good game. Look for sixty points to be scored.

MY TAKE:
Greer is the team to beat with Eastside in the second spot. I believe Union County will recover and finish third with two region wins over Blue Ridge and TR.

Lancaster (Lancaster) 0 1 0 0.000 2 4 0 0.333 112 148 1 3

WHAT HAPPENED
South Pointe destroyed Ridge View, York beat RNE 55-17 and Westwood edged Lancaster.

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAMES:
Ridge View at York is huge because I believe it is for the second spot in the region. This game will produce 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

MY TAKE:
South Pointe,  York, Ridge View, Richland Northeast, Westwood and Lancaster in that order.

North Augusta (North Augusta) 0 0 0 0.000 6 0 0 1.000 231 85 3 0
Midland Valley (Graniteville) 0 1 0 0.000 0 6 0 0.000 110 235 0 3
Aiken (Aiken) 0 1 0 0.000 0 6 0 0.000 95 259 0 2

WHAT HAPPENED
Airport blew out Midland Valley, South Aiken beat Aiken 51-10,  North Augusta beat Lower Richland from Region 5.

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAMES:
Honestly, there are no big games in this region this week. North Augusta and South Aiken are so far ahead of the others it really doesn't matter. North Augusta has Airport this week. I suppose Aiken vs Midland Valley will tell us who's going to be 4th and dead last.

MY TAKE:
North Augusta has too much speed, even for South Aiken but the two still have to play on the field. Airport is third best but distanced from the top two. Midland Valley and Aiken are both just very bad on both sides of the football.

Dreher (Columbia) 0 1 0 0.000 3 3 0 0.500 159 143 1 2
Flora, A.C. (Columbia) 0 1 0 0.000 0 6 0 0.000 132 212 0 3
Lower Richland (Hopkins) 0 0 0 0.000 2 4 0 0.333 125 169 2 1

WHAT HAPPENED
Chapin beat Dreher, Orangeburg-Wilkinson beat AC Flora and LR lost a non-region match up with North Augusta.

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAMES:
Lower Richland at Dreher is huge; Dreher needs a win to remain in the hunt for a home playoff game in the first round but LR is a team that I believe has the potential to play for the region crown.

MY TAKE:
I believe Chapin is the team to beat with Lower Richland a close second. Dreher has the potential to throw a tie-breaking wrench in it if they beat LR this week. Orangeburg-Wilkinson has the ability to finish as high as third but I think they will be a fourth spot with AC Flora bringing up the rear.

Darlington (Darlington) 0 1 0 0.000 1 6 0 0.143 109 247 1 3

WHAT HAPPENED
Hartsville got a high quality win over 2A power Abbeivlle, 28-21. Lugoff-Eltin beat Lakewood and Crestwood beat Darlington.

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAMES:
Crestwood at Lugoff-Elgin will produce this region's second place finisher in my opinion so that is the big game this week.

MY TAKE:
Hartsville, Lugoff-Elgin, Creswtood, Darlington, Lakewood in that order, with maybe Darlington and Lakewood flipped.

North Myrtle Beach (Little River) 1 0 0 1.000 7 0 0 1.000 250 93 4 0

Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach) 0 1 0 0.000 3 4 0 0.429 173 225 2 1
St. James (Murrells Inlet) 0 1 0 0.000 2 5 0 0.286 159 235 1 3
Wilson (Florence) 0 0 0 0.000 4 2 0 0.667 151 125 3 1

WHAT HAPPENED
The big story was North Myrtle Beach beat Myrtle Beach to take control of this region; Marlboro County destroyed St. James and Wilson was idle.

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAMES:
Wilson at Marlboro County is huge because the winner is in the mix for the 2nd spot in the region. I honestly don't think either can beat NMB and the Chiefs are at the top. But whomever wins this could face Myrtle Beach to decide 2nd.

MY TAKE:
North Myrtle Beach is too strong to lose in this region. I like Myrtle Beach for 2nd, with Marlboro County and Wilson in the 3rd and 4th spots. The only thing is that Marlboro County, if they play well, COULD finish in the 2nd spot with wins over MB and Wilson. Regardless, St. James won't win a region game this year and will be the fifth place team.

Colleton County (Walterboro) 0 1 0 0.000 2 4 0 0.333 147 175 1 2
Stall (North Charleston) 0 1 0 0.000 2 3 0 0.400 94 133 0 2

WHAT HAPPENED
Berkeley beat Hilton Head 21-16, Cane Bay knocked off Colleton County 24-17, Beaufort destroyed Stall 56-3.

THIS WEEK'S BIG GAMES:
I don't see a big game in this region this week; The three region leaders should win, with Berekeley over Stall, Cane Bay over Hilton Head and Beaufort over Colleton County. I do think the Beaufort/Colleton County game has a shot at being a decent game.

MY TAKE:
I like the Stags as the top team in the region now that Cane Bay is down one of their weapons - the major one. I look for the Cobras to take the 2nd spot, with Beaufort third and Colleton County in the fourth spot.
