Fresh/or fresh as you can get shrimp will catch a variety of fish.live shrimp or mudminnows under a cork.early morning or evening.depending on the salinity of the canal your in.spottail bass flounder sea trout ect.if its solid saltwater any little fish you catch cut up and use them as cut bait.there are a insane amount of sharks around now.a few small ones would give the kids a blast.but if anyone asks.you are not shark fishing.not in horry county.i usually use circle or khale hooks.but if you get bait stealer's.i switch to a small treble hook.you can get a two dollar drop net at wally world throw a chicken or turkey neck on it and catch blue crabs.youngins love that.they have to be 5 inches from tip to tip to keep.another tip if you keep them and boil them. a shot of vinegar makes the meat easier to get out.

If you ever take a helicopter ride over the beach.your jaw would drop.sharks are always there.you can actually see 5 -6ft sharks between people 10 ft from each other.they dont bother you.usually its a case of mistaken identity .

No im a hour or so south depending on how you drive. outside of chucktown.i was letting mike know whats going on here it (fish sharks ect)usually migrates from florida and works its way up the coast.a network of us dedicated shore anglers feed each other info every year.to see patterns so our fishing will improve.youd be surprised its 70 to 80 percent effective.

Mike just bring some vinegar and meat tenderizer .if there are any stings it will lessen the pain.pour it on the sting liberally .
