Title Sponsor to return for 2013 Carolinas Kickoff Clash

The Derrick Law Firm Carolinas Kickoff Clash will be held on August 30th and 31st of 2013 as fans will be able to enjoy four outstanding games over the Labor Day weekend in Doug Shaw Stadium.  Dirk Derrick, owner of the Derrick Law Firm, had these comments on the continued partnership.  "I'm excited to stay involved with the Derrick Law Firm Carolinas Kickoff Clash.  I am hopeful this event continues to grow and becomes a yearly ritual for all the football fans in our area."

The North Carolina vs. South Carolina themed event will feature the following schedule:

August 30th

7:30 p.m. - Richmond County vs. Myrtle Beach

August 31st

1:00 p.m. - Wilmingotn Hoggard vs. Irmo

4:30 p.m. - Southeast Raleigh vs. Dutch Fork

8:00 p.m. - Wilmington New Hanover vs. Conway

Mark Stafford, a 151 Sports Marketing representative, had these comments on the expanded schedule.  "Football fans from all around the Carolinas will have access to some of the most competitive high school football games in the country.  If there is a better 24 hours of high school football out there I would be surprised.  I understand this is not region play but I am in hopes the battle for state bragging rights will give these match-ups a little more spice.  Since the guys from the north and south are not overly fond of each other, the weekend at Doug Shaw Stadium should be highly entertaining.  All eight teams were playoff teams and they combined for a winning percentage of almost 70%.  They can play!  It is also my pleasure to add Dutch Fork High School to the event.  Dutch Fork's head coach Tommy Knotts had a very successful coaching history while in North Carolina which adds to the fun as the Silver Foxes will be a great addition.  And of course we look forward to hosting the four squads from the Tar Heel State as well.  If you like high school football plan Labor Day weekend at the beach.  Don't miss the show!"
