2012 All-State Football and Yearly Awards

With the 2012 high school football season in the books, it's time to announce the CarolinaPreps.com All-State football teams and yearly awards.

 Earning the CarolinaPreps.com Player of the Year honors is Northern Guilford running back T.J. Logan.  The University of North Carolina bound athlete rushed for 3,146 yards and 47 touchdowns, includiing a record-breaking 510 yards and eight touchdowns in the 3-AA championship game against Charlotte Catholic.  This year's title was the third straight championship for Logan and the Nighthawks.

East Lincoln head football coach Mike Byus is selected as the CarolinaPreps.com Coach of the Year.  Byus led the Mustangs to their first state championship in 2012 knocking off previos three-time champion Tarboro 24-20.  Byus was also selected as an assistant coach for the 76th Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas played last month.
